A 14 year old stabbed 9 times in the neck

A 14 year old teenager named Chloe West was brutally stabbed 9 times in the neck by an 18 year old boy just outside her school. She studied at Ridgewood High School, in Wollaston, Stourbridge. He didn’t study there but he knew the girl. Luckily, teachers, parents & students intervened & that’s why this crazy boy couldn’t kill her.

However, the injuries of Chloe are serious but she’s out of danger. They are saying that her condition is stable now, which is of course good news. She has sustained injuries to her face & upper body. Police has confirmed that Chloe knew her attacker. Moreover, the attacker himself has also suffered hand injuries.

Asked whether the victim had been in a relationship with the man who was arrested, Mr. Johnson (police spokesman) replied: "We've certainly received information this morning that the two people involved know each other. Whether that formed the basis of a relationship or not, certainly the indications are that they knew each other in the past.”

Praising quick thinking teachers, parents and staff, who sat on the attacker, Superintendent Stuart Johnson said: 'I would just like to pay tribute to the very brave individuals, who without too much thought for their own safety intervened at the time of the incident this morning. I'm referring to some members of the public who are maybe parents of children, to staff members and indeed some students who were confronted by a very frightening scene. They showed tremendous bravery in intervening and actually detaining the suspect, and in my opinion, based on medical evidence, they clearly prevented far more serious injuries to Chloe.'

The school was closed for the rest of the day. Few students thought the commotion had to do with April 1st & they didn’t take it seriously at first. Anyway, those who witness this scene said they saw a guy racing up the road at 60 mph, jumped out of his car & punched her repeatedly. No one knows why this boy went off his head. However, the matter is now in the hands of police.

This is a very terrible incident. When an acquaintance does this to you, the real story has to be complicated or the culprit is totally mad. What could possibly drive a person to commit crime in front of so many people? Of course I do feel sorry for the victim but I think these questions are important.
