Koi Yahan Aha Nache Nache Koi Wahan – Disco Dancer

Last night, Z & I were talking about this sound track. We had so much fun dancing on it in our school days. Although our elder sister regarded it a very cheap song, but Z & I loved it. In fact, it was so much listening to it after so many years.

However, the guy is very funny. And it's equally hilarious when he says, 'Come on Girls!'

And the woman has been quite persistent about her love: 'Tum say hai tum say pyaar mano na meray yaar!'

It's tough on me to choose the best thing. It's either 'Bang, Bang!' or 'Auva, Auva!'

Anyhow, this film was released in 1982 & it was a huge success. In China, the soundtrack received Gold Award. In fact, the movie was quite famous in Turkey, Soviet Union, Far East & Southern Asia. This song Auva Auva was inspired by 1979 The Buggles hit "Video Killed the Radio Star." Those who look down on the music of Disco Dancer need to know that in 1988, American musician Devo produced a song titled "Disco Dancer" & that was inspired by the song "I am a Disco Dancer."

Tum Jo Bhi Ho Dil Aaj Do – Gunmaster-G9

This was inevitable...yesterday you know I shared the story of Yogeeta, Mithun & Kishore. Anyhow, I think Mithun is quite a talented actor. In this movie, he played the role of an agent & he looked like one. I'm sorry to say but Saif Khan hasn't pulled off that thing in Agent Vinod.

This movie was released in 1979 & I think India was far ahead even at that time. Aruna Irani too was a good actor but she was only seen in item numbers & not such worthy roles. However, the two guys appear to be clowns. What kind of dance is it anyway? But I like their shoes.

And one should always remember: 'Tum jo bhi ho, dil aaj do, Kal yeh saama phir ho na ho.' :P

Mithun was singing that humein jo kehna tha humne keh diya kuch tumein hai meri jaan tum hee kaho...but what did he say? And Aruna Irani again was scared just like every woman in such songs. Poor thing also said 'Aaj koi duniya say janay wala hai' & then she herself dies.

One more thing. This film marked Bappi Lahiri's entry as a playback singer.
