Outrage sparked over not losing weight

It’s really mean & cheap on the part of media & fans who are demanding Aishwarya to lose weight. And what’s this crap that she has god-damn duty towards her fans? It’s her life & just like any other person, she also needs space. I’m glad she has defended her choice by saying she simply wants to 'enjoy motherhood.' 

Only cheap fans could post videos about Aiswarya’s weight gain. I believe she’s a mother first & it’s good that she has chosen motherhood. The rest may demand all sorts of crazy things. Who are they in the first place? Anyhow they do like to make noise: 

“She is a Bollywood actress and it is her duty to look good and fit.” 

Another comment: “She needs to learn from people like Victoria Beckham who are back to size zero weeks after their delivery.” 

However, some people have come out in support as well. I had no intention to write about this but how can one keep mum about these trends! Sometimes they want women to put on weight. As far as I can recall, they were all supporting plus size models few days ago & now when an actress has put on weight after having a baby, they are all set against her. I believe when the time will be right, she’s gonna shed weight. After all, she’s an actress. Why do people have to put so much pressure on her? It’s been just seven months. 

Speaking of which reminds me of the two year old cat Meow who recently died. Yeah he was a very fat cat but what killed him is the fact that people wanted him to lose weight just like that. His 87 year old owner fed him whatever she ate herself but she never starved him to death. However, she had to give him to the shelter cause of his weight problem. They could have dealt with the problem there but he traveled to another place in a plane & that could be a traumatic experience for an animal. Then they were giving him special diet. Suddenly he developed breathing problem & he died. They solely put the blame on obesity. Just how they want humans to lose or put on weight, they expected an innocent cat to shed weight in no time. They were all in a hurry. I don’t blame anyone. I’m sure they all cared about him, but he’s the one who is dead. 

I don’t understand why gaining or losing weight is such a big issue with people. Why do they have to dictate their terms to someone else? They put so much pressure on models & size zero that innumerable models have died due to anorexia.

RIP Meow

This is the 1st thing that I read & it really breaks my heart. 

I still can’t believe it. Meow died over the weekend owing to complications from his morbid obesity. He was on a diet & lots of people wanted to adopt him. 

Meow was given up by his 87 year old owner to the shelter as she couldn’t control his weight problem. She fed Meow whatever she ate herself. Right from the outset, it was saddening that the owner had to give up her pet. She was very old. Naturally she did whatever she could for the kitty. 

Meow had been at Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society. While we were discussing Meow, a friend informed us about the history & another pal who lives in the same town gave them a call. We were happy to know that many people were interested in adopting Meow. 

Meow only lost 2 pounds & according to the shelter, he was doing well but then he developed breathing problem. They wanted him to lose at least 10 pounds before he’s being adopted. While he was alive, he wasn’t the fattest cat.

Breathing problem is a serious thing. Plus, Meow was over-weight. They were giving him special diet. I think this special diet thing is one of the reasons. And then everyone was in a hurry. That old lady may have fed him like anything, but she didn’t starve him to death. And I really don’t get it…What’s wrong if your pet is that fat? Why can’t you accept him the way he is? Maybe he had some tendency to put on weight. I have seen really healthy cats who don't eat much but still are very chubby. Of course not as chubby as Meow, but they are very healthy.

Whatever the reason is…I really feel sorry for Meow. 

Shelter Director Mary Martin says the entire staff is devastated, adding: “We were in a race against time to get the weight off Meow before he developed complications from his obesity, and we lost. But we hope his fight will encourage other people to help their pets maintain the best health possible. Obesity is not something to be ignored.” 

They are just talking about obesity & how it ended his life. He was fat. He would have faced the problems that he faced a bit earlier cause of humans. He didn’t have breathing problem. He developed it. I’m not blaming the foster family where he was placed. But no one is talking about the special diet. Whenever you change the diet of an animal, he responds badly…you have to make changes slowly & gradually. And cats have got very sensitive digestive system. But it’s obvious they were all in a hurry & the poor cat is dead cause humans couldn’t accept a chubby cat.

Fat but cute

This baby is Meow & Dr. Jennifer Steketee from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter is holding him. He weighs around 40 pounds. Meow is just two year old & he has been given up by the owner as his weight is so out of control. 

Well Meow surely needs to go on a diet. I wonder what actually his 87 year old owner fed him. None of my cat has ever become anything of the sort. But nevertheless he looks cute & it would be so much fun holding him. Actually I’m a huge fan of fat cats & not this fat, but I like fat cats. 

Anyway, we just wish him good luck & I hope he also finds a loving family who could take care of his weight. 

He's got such an angelic face & those eyes are just too adorable. I also like the way he's posing for the camera.
