It has been confirmed that Naomie Harris is the next Bond Girl in the new James Bond film. She’s obviously quite excited as she never dreamed of grabbing this role when she started off her career.
Super excited Naomie Harris said: "I never thought it was a possibility, so it's hugely exciting to be a Bond girl. I'm loving it. I love Sam Mendes. He's a fantastic director. And Daniel Craig is incredible to work with, so I feel incredibly lucky."
The other leading lady is the French actress Bérénice Marlohe & she has been specifically referred as Bond lady by Mendes. She’s learning to use the gun & finds it funny (?) but she enjoys firing. Besides that she enjoys being photographed.
I’m sorry to say but I have a feeling that the standard of Bond girls has certainly gone down. Moreover Naomie doesn't seem that excited as she sounds & the photos of Marlohe are too fake. Maybe it's the factor of enjoyment that kind of stands out more, but even that is not evident. One shouldn't force himself/herself to smile. The result is, for the most part, bad unless you happen to be Madhuri or Meg Ryan. And just look at Daniel Craig - I kind of feel sorry for him. He needs to rest a bit. He looks very tired. I like him but my favourite Bonds are Roger Moore & Sean Connery. Even Dalton guy was nice.
Although people criticized American Beauty even though it won an Oscar but I think Sam Mendes is not bad. Skyfall is the 23rd James Bond film. Btw, Ralph Fiennes too is in the movie. But the director has refused to reveal about the characters of Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw. But if Ralph Fiennes is somewhere, it ought to be good. Anyhow, Mendes has promised the film is full of surprises.
In this film, Bond’s loyalty to M will be tested while espionage headquarters MI6 faces an attack. And the story line will take the agent to London, China, Turkey & Scotland. Javier Bardem also has been confirmed as the villain.
The film will be released on October 26th 2012.
