Real-life Barbie

Just read about this real life Barbie & she is pretty. But she knows how to make her face better with make-up. And beyond any doubt, she looks like a Barbie doll. Yesterday I scribbled something on Sarah Barge who’s considered Human Barbie, but she doesn’t even come near to the word Barbie.

Valeria Lukyanova is 21 year old & she’s from Russia. She’s become an internet sensation in her country & she claims herself to be the most famous woman on her blog. I checked out her FB page & only 110 people like it. Maybe she’s quite famous in Russia but not so on FB as yet. Other girls painting themselves as dolls have got more fans. Anyhow, this page has been recently created. I don’t know how real this woman is, but she’s very thin. 

As usual a spoof video has been posted on YouTube. It’s an animated version of the model undergoing surgery to enhance her already prominent assets. And you know how people comment. Questions have been raised about her existence. Some think she’s a Photoshop hoax. Although there are very few pictures of Valeria on FB & where she’s wearing less make up, she looks real but not that pretty. As I said earlier on, it’s the wonder of her make-up techniques that makes her look better & more like a doll. 

But I haven’t been able to comprehend this obsession of painting yourself as a doll. It's a strange habit no doubt. Anyhow, I don’t find it unhealthy so long as you don’t harm yourself or others. It’s your life & if something makes you happy, you have all the right in the world to do that. At least these girls are not behaving as Sarah Barge & Samantha Brick who have such hideous views & theories about looks that make you literally puke. So far as people are concerned, they will always find faults with just about everything. And I don’t get it: they talk about identity crisis & that the person has some low self-esteem who has such strange habits of painting herself as a doll, but what about people who love watching those pictures or videos of girls applying make-up on Youtube & transforming into living dolls? Aren’t such people more weird? The ones who make noise also seemed to have no life at all. 

She also runs a blog where she writes about making music & she also talks about meditation but it’s written in another language, so it’s kind of useless for us.

The Shoebox

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little Old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about. For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000. He asked her about the contents. 'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.' The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with Happiness. 'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?' 'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.'
