Farah Khan To Make Her Acting Debut Soon

There was a time when Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan shared a love-hate relationship and they used to pass nasty remarks about each other. However, things change with time.

The latest news on their front is that after making superstars dance on her fingers for many years and after trying her hands at direction, Farah Khan the great choreographer will make her acting debut in a film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's sister - Bela.

This will be the first time, Farah will be seen in a proper role as a female lead opposite Boman Irani. It is Bela's debut film as a director titled 'Shirin Farhad' and brother Sanjay will produce the film himself.

Well, I don't see the need for such a change but may be it was her long lost dream to act and now that she has a chance, she might as well give it a try. I am not particularly fond of seeing her act but I don't doubt she could act just fine.

Hrithik Creates History!

Farah Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Vaibhavi Merchant - the three judges of Just Dancing

Hrithik Roshan has created history. He is a brilliant actor but he is an outstanding dancer. And now he has created history by shooting a one of kind music video for a television show. No other filmstar has done something of this sort before.

The interesting thing is that Hrithik had the opportunity to work with director Arjun Sablok once again who directed Hrithik in one of his memorable songs Na Tum Jaano Na Hum in 2002.

The video is directed by Arjun while it has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. This video will be used to promote the dance reality show "Just Dancing" which has Hrithik Roshan, Vaibhavi Merchant and Farah Khan as the three judges. Inside sources say the music video has turned out to be so great that the show producers want to use it to promote all of its next seasons with this as an important part of the show reel.

The concept of this music video revolves around the idea that everybody in India admires Hrithik for his dancing style so the video shows Hrithik as a common man in many different avatars like he is standing in line for a bus, reading a newspaper, eating his lunch, working out on a treadmill, cleaning dishes and watching television. The common man will relate to this video. Hrithik will be dancing in ordinary situations but they will of course show him turn into the real Hrithik Roshan - the great superstar and incredible dancer.

Farah Khan was asked to choreograph the video but she was too busy with a script and she said she had already choreographed the video for another dance reality show so it would not look nice.

Well, I am looking forward to this video because Hrithik is one hell of a superb dancer. The best there ever will be!

Farah Khan Burying The Hatchet

Yes we all know, Farah Khan and SRK are absolutely cool with one another after they cleared all misunderstandings between each other at an award function recently. Farah seems genuinely relieved and happy about patching up.

She was so happy that at another function she decided to patch up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali also. The two had a bitter feud in the Friday release of Saawariya and Om Shanti Om. They started the reconciliation an year ago but this time round when they were both stranded back stage for a good 20 minutes, the two finally broke the ice and forgot about all that happened in the past.

SRK & Farah Are Friends Again

Farah Khan & Shahrukh Khan All Happy After Patching Up At Apsara Awards

We all heard the news that Shahrukh was quite emotional in Koffee with Karan episode where he spoke about his faults and his misunderstandings with his close friends Salman Khan and Farah Khan. He also blamed himself for everything that happened between them and that he was too arrogant and proud to talk to them, call them up and to apologize. He showed that he missed them and regretted how things had turned out between him and his close friends.

Salman Khan considered the words nothing a but a fake apology. He openly responded that had Shahrukh really wanted to patch up he could have called me or come up and met me to sort things out but this apology in front of media is fake and he doesn't accept it.

However, Farah Khan's heart softened completely when she saw Shahrukh all gloomy in Karan's interview. He and Farah had a misunderstanding when Farah decided to cast Akshay Kumar in Tees Maar Khan instead of Shahrukh. Farah felt Akshay was the best choice for the role while Shahrukh didn't like her choice of choosing the lead actor. This led to them drifting apart.

Now, last night (11th Jan), Shahrukh and Farah met up at the Apsara Awards in Mumbai where they had a long heart to heart chat in Shahrukh's vanity van and cleared up everything. When they came out, they were all friendly and Shahrukh even gave Farah a friendly kiss.

Thus, the good news is that SRK managed to win the heart of one of his good friends after learning from his mistakes.

Happy Birthday Farah & Farhan!

This Sunday is surely going to be one of the most significant day in Bollywood with two of the most successful people of the film industry - Farah Khan & Farhan Akhtar sharing their birthday on the same date.

Both Farah Khan and Farhan Akhtar not only share the common birth date, but interestingly, they are cousins as well.

Anyway we wish both Farah Khan & Farhan Akhtar a beautiful day! Hope they make better movies in the future, cause both of them have disappointed their fans. Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan had been really bad & Farhan Akhtar was an amazing director. God knows why he started acting & singing. And it's all the more amusing that people adore him no matter what. Nevertheless, Happy Birthday Farah Khan & Farhan Akhtar! May you both have many birthdays!

Tees Maar Khan - Detailed Movie Review

My sister has already written a review...this is the one I had written.

2010 ended with the release of a much talked about movie, Tees Maar Khan which is Farah Khan’s third venture as a director after Main Hoon Naa and Om Shanti Om. The story is written by Farah Khan’s husband Shirish Kunder

In Tees Maar Khan, we can see Akshay Kumar (Tabrez Mirza Khan or Tees Maar Khan) as a very smart, fearless and shameless con artist who is one of the most wanted criminals of all times. He steals whatever he wants to and whenever he likes and he claims that it is impossible to keep Tees Maar Khan behind bars because he will escape anyway.

Tees Maar Khan, is hired by another pair of international smugglers, the Johri Brothers to rob antiques worth 500 crores from a heavily guarded moving train. The movie is about the challenging and almost impossible task that Tees Maar Khan has to accomplish and how he wins the hearts of many even while doing something wrong.

Other important characters of the movie are Katrina Kaif (Anya Khan) who plays the role of a wanna be actress and Akshaye Khanna (Atish Kapoor) who is a famous Bollywood superstar but who is desperate to get an Oscar Award.

All in all, the movie is fun and an extremely light entertainment. If you want to watch a movie that doesn’t require you to use your brains at all, you can view it with ease. Otherwise, it is fast paced and quite loud throughout. It is obvious, that Akshay Kumar and Akshaye Khanna were the only two people who acted well consistently throughout the film. Katrina didn’t have to work too hard and had to act a silly, dumb girl with an over accent – all of which comes naturally to her. Other characters such as the two police officers who were chasing Tees Maar Khan, the Johri Brothers, the Police Commissioner and Baweja (Atish Kapoor’s Manager) delivered their part nicely. While Tees Maar Khan’s gang Soda, Burger and Dollar were quite irritating most of the time and not necessarily funny as they tried to be.

Some of the funniest scenes were when Akshay Kumar saved the people in a flying plane by opening the cock pit and the passengers in the plane went crazy thanking him. While Akshaye Khanna performed a silly dance move whenever he felt he was a bit closer to his dream to win an Oscar was entertaining too. Also, the chaotically made and abruptly ending movie (Bharat Ka Khazana) that Akshay Kumar made within the movie while trying to steal the antiques was surprisingly fun. The half after the intermission was definitely more entertaining.

Shiela Ki Jawani and the title song Tees Maar Khan are quite catchy. Shiela Ki Jawani is already quite a hit amongst people so not much needs to be said about it. Farah also had quite a few guest stars in the movie such as Anil Kapoor and Chunkey Pandey while Sanjay Dutt delivered the opening narration in the movie and her friend Salman Khan who also did a male bonding song “Wallah Re Wallah” with Akshay Kumar.

Though Shahrukh Khan ended up ruining his friendship with Farah Khan for the role that Akshay Kumar played in Tees Maar Khan, but after watching the movie, people would agree that Akshay was the best choice for the role as he pulled it off in a perfect way. Farah Khan’s Main Hoon Naa is perhaps her finest works so far if one analyzes all her films. However, Tees Maar Khan has had a good start at the box office although it is not that great a film but audience is loving it for one reason or the other. For a light entertainment, one can watch it once at least.
