ABC TV conducted a survey with more than 500,000 people about favorite all time movie characters.
Out of more than half a million films made by Hollywood, Tom Hanks' character of "Forrest Gump" was ranked at the top. Forrest Gump was a box office in 1994 and earned Tom Hanks a Best Actor Oscar Award.
British secret agent James Bond came second in the list. James Bond's character has been loved for a good 50 years now by the Bond fans.
Scarlett O'Hara was the third most memorable character.
Anothony Hopkins character as Hannibal Lecter took the fourth place while Harrison Ford's Indian Jones was the fifth most popular character.
