Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai To Work Together Again

Prachi Desai and Emraan Hashmi will be seen together once again after the success of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai (OUATIM). This time round, they will work in Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt's Informer.

Prachi, who has track record of not kissing in her movies has to raise her sex appeal quite high for this movie as per the insiders. She will go for a complete makeover for the role.

Emraan and Prachi were liked together in OUATIM and it is obvious the two enjoy their comfort zone. They have shared intimate scenes in it also. However, Prachi is known for including a no kiss clause in her contracts in the past also and she might just continue with her principle even now.

She had this clause incorporated in OATIM and also refused to kiss John Abraham in Shrishti Arya's next movie.

Well, I actually like Prachi quite a lot. She is quite pretty to look at and the fact that she does not put herself in compromising, dirty scenes just to get a little limelight is neat. She also remains rather content with very few projects. She has done very few movies but all of them are decent. These are rare qualities in actresses since all of them are greedy for success and ready to do anything to get attention. I hope Prachi will continue to follow her principles in the future also.

Akshay Kumar In Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Sequel

Since this is the age of sequels, filmmakers are making sequel of almost every movie that becomes a hit amongst the audience. Their stance on this is simple that if a movie clicks and audience likes the characters, they become fond of watching the characters again. This is why we saw Munna Bhai sequels, Dabangg 2 will be made soon, Deols are planning to work on Yamla Pagla Deewana sequel and of course how we forget the never ending sequels of Golmaal.

So, it is not surprising to hear about the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai after its magnificent box office success. It is now out in the open that Akshay Kumar will be starring in OUATIM and play the role of the noted don Dawood Ibrahim.

Emraan Hashmi played this role in the original movie. Akshay Kumar is all set for this project and is excited about the look he will portray in this character. Well, this is one interesting news. I think Akshay Kumar can really take the movie to the next level.

Industry Is Run By The Old Men - Ajay Devgan

Ajay Devgan has come a long way and now nobody doubts his acting skills. He has proved his acting capabilities over the years with great performances in many movies now. He never really bothered about winning awards which is why he took a stance many years ago when he refrained from attending award shows and ceremonies.

Today, he is considered one of the biggest superstars of Hindi cinema as he goes on to give brilliant performances one after the other. 2010 was also his year with movies such as Golmaal 3, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Rajneeti, Aakrosh and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. His movies last year ranged from being block busters to semi hits to even a flop but critically his acting was appreciated.

Ajay is now seen talking to the press about his new movies. He doesn't pretend much and answers about things smartly. He is happy with his success but openly said that whether Hollywood or Bollywood, it is a fact that the film industry is run by the old men and not the boys.

This is what Ajay said:

"This is why I always say that men will be men, I remember telling someone that whatever be the case, the fact is that industry tou buddhe he chala rahe hain (that industry is being ruled by the old men)."

This is quite true if we analyze Bollywood where Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan himself and then others like Amitabh Bachchan are the people whom the audience love the most.

Ajay's shock outburst

Ajay Devgn has joined Aamir Khan in staying away from award ceremonies. Most functions just market themselves by wooing celebrities and awarding the nominees who agree to attend the events, says the actor.

"I don't attend award ceremonies. The facts with award ceremonies are that you are called saying, 'Please come for the awards, we are giving you the award'; when you don't go, they say they had to give it to someone else. They also have to market it; they also have to sell their awards. So it's a problem for them," Ajay said.

"They have to give awards to whoever attends the function. So they keep their options open," said the 41-year-old who was won the National Award twice for 'Zakhm' and 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh'.

"It feels good when you receive an award. But there are small, small things that I have to keep in mind. If a couple of awards ceremonies are genuine and you attend them then you have to attend all the other award ceremonies. So it's better that I don't attend any of them," he said.

He feels something similar happens while selecting movies for the Oscars. The actor maintains that Indian films have the potential to grab Oscars, provided the right film is sent for it.

"We can make it to the Oscars, but there are lots of politics behind it also. There are many big films, small films but they are good films, which are not sent to the Oscars. But I don't understand why they cheat their own country.

" 'Devdas' and 'Bhagat Singh..' were made in the same year. Whose probability of winning an Oscar is more, a film on a drunkard or a freedom fighter?...Over the years many small good films, some of them by first time directors, have been made, but no one sends those films for Oscars," Ajay said.

This year he has been nominated for all the three awards - Big Star Entertainment Award, Star Screen Awards and Apsara Awards - in the best actor category for the crime thriller 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai', but didn't get any.

Ajay is nominated in the best actor category in the upcoming 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 to be held Jan 29.
