Michael Jackson with Mohamed Al-Fayed
Mohamed Al-Fayed, the Egyptian businessman and Fullham's Chairman will be unveiling a statue of his very close friend, the super star Michael Jackson in April. Michael Jackson's commemorative statue will be displayed at Craven Cottage on Sunday, 3rd of April.
The statue will show Jackson in one of his most popular poses. It will be placed opposite Riverside and Hammersmith Stands on the banks of River Thames. Earlier, Fulham wanted to place the statue outside Harrod's in Knightsbridge but that store was sold and he chose Craven Cottage as the main spot.
Fulham had an amazing friendship with Michael Jackson till he lived. Michael often visited Harrods and attended Craven Cottage on Fayed's invitation in 1999.
Fulham said Michael produced music like no other artist. People can imitate his works but his work can never be replicated again. He hopes Michael Jackson's fans from all over the world would come and have a look at his statue at Craven Cottage.
I feel so sad for Mohamed Al-Fayed how he lost his only son in the road accident with Diana. He expressed openly that his son was killed because of his association with Princess Diana. Diana was about to marry a Muslim man and this led to Dodi Al-Fayed's death. However, even a man of such strong stature couldn't do much against the Royal Family. It is so ironic that whatever Diana did was hated immensely by the but now everything is so acceptable.
