Massive Email Theft At Epsilon Can Harm Customers


This is some important information that everyone should know. Millions of customers of majors brands are being warned that they can be bombarded with spam emails after hackers stole important details of a huge database of many renowned companies.

Barclaycard, Citigroup, a subsidiary of Amazon are just a few of the big firms who are facing this dilemma after the hacking took place at Epsilon - an online marketing firm in Dallas, Texas on March 30th.

Others in the list include Capital One, JP Morgan Chase, Marriott hotel and Kroger supermarket chain stores. These companies are telling their customers to be ware and not to give any information to any emails.

Anyhow, as a result of this hacking, customers email addresses and names have been leaked. It is quite possible that they will spam mails or fake mails that will ask them for more important account information, bank account numbers, etc. Everyone should refrain from replying back to such emails.

Epsilon has given no details on how the hackers broke into their systems but it working with the law enforcing agencies to resolve the issue soon.
