The Truth or Dare perfume ad

ABC has deemed Madonna's ad for her new her perfume, Truth or Dare, too racy. 

This is not at all surprising but I don’t find the ad racy or raunchy. In fact I find it utterly boring. Madonna needs to stop it now. We are tired of this nonsense. I don’t think she could take seduction to any new level. Putting emphasis on her cleavage maybe fun for her, but I think an average person who has been watching her ever since the late 80s is very tired. We don’t give a damn if she is in control of her overt sexuality. We know she’s a bad girl. We don’t need reminders & it’s equally irritating when we get stupid reminders. 

She has been in the headlines this week owing to the new video for Girl Gone Wild which was banned for under-18s by YouTube for its inappropriate content. But that wasn’t enough. 

Anyhow, the ad for her perfume sucks big time. I seriously wonder how is the perfume though. Btw, Truth or Dare will launch globally in May. 

And yeah Madonna explained in a statement: “My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like Gardenias and Tuberose. An intoxicating mixture - feminine and mysterious.”

Anori - New Polar Bear on the block

We have this new polar bear on the block & she’s none other than the half-sister of Berlin’s famous polar bear Knut who died suddenly last year at the age of 4 from brain damage. She was born on January 4 to Knut's dad Lars and his new mate Vilma. She made her public debut this week at Wuppertal Zoo in Germany.

Unlike Knut, she hasn’t been abandoned by her mom at birth. In fact Vilma is quite protective about her baby. 

However, the threats to the species must not be forgotten. It is believed as few as 25,000 polar bears are left in the world, according to Polar Bears International, a conservation group.” 

Anyhow, Wuppertal Zoo has a long history of raising polar bears, with the first cub born there in 1931, the zoo's website says. 

We wish Anori a very happy & long life. The good thing is that her mom is with her all the time. Knut had been a little unlucky as his mom also abandoned him at birth & his care-taker also died too early.

This is a very good question. It’s for all those strong individuals who put up with everything & do not share, cause it’s regarded as weakness. I think it requires courage to share your problems with others. Somehow we have been taught to carry the burden. We are not supposed to bitch about certain things. It’s okay to suffocate yourself as long as you think about your so-called honor. And what do you get in the end? Of course the answer is different for different people. 

Let me tell you a little bit about Lord Jim. It’s better to stay away from this book. Joseph Conrad is quite a bore. However, few lines in Lord Jim make you think & that’s why I sometimes go through the lines I have marked in the book. 

Anyhow, sometimes I think it’s better to talk. Bottled up emotions can only make you all the more depressed. I have realized that some problems cannot be solved. They don’t have any solution. The person suffers & suffers in silence. The more I think about certain victims, the more I’m convinced that nothing would change for them. I don’t blame them either. I think it’s really low on the part of society to judge them for being pessimists that they are. You don’t know what it’s like for them. 

I don’t think anyone is his/her own enemy. We do make certain choices & there are reasons. Reasons that no one may understand & it’s definitely courage to speak up when you’re sure that maybe no one will understand what you’re blabbing.

Christy Turlington & her pencil moustache

Christy Turlington appears on the cover of the latest issue of British magazine Tatler with a narrow moustache. You too can make one with your eyeliner pencil :P And she’s all dressed up as a stereotypical male director with vintage camera in hand. Not bad!

Christy is in her 40s & I think she still looks nice. However, I don’t like this pencil moustache. She would have looked fine without it. And yes she can turn the tables better than models of today. However, this moustache is pretty annoying.

I feel so very shallow scribbling this. Anyway, when you talk about this Victoria's Secret Angel, some people mention her fish lips. I think she’s attractive but yeah there’s a bit too much stress on the lips. But the question is: does it even matter? We are quite used to fake looks…at least she looks glamorous. In any case, such blog posts are very shallow, so to speak. There is just one good thing about them – they can never be depressing. Anyhow, the cover is so so. It's the same monotonous expression that is regarded sexy by innumerable people. I just don't like it as such.

Btw Rosie is currently dating actor Jason Statham.

Instagram photos are the most irritating fixture on FB

A recent study has found that Instagram photos are the most irritating thing on Facebook. However, Paris Hilton happens to be clueless about it as she posted several snaps using the application during her Australian break. Since she’s least bothered & not at all aware of anything, everything is just okay. Moreover, we all are aware of her IQ level, we don’t like to complain either. 

One fifth of Facebook users have apparently deleted friends on the social network because of annoying photos from the Instagram application. Users said that the main reason they hated applications such as Instagram- which is a celebrity favourite- was the 'unnecessary photographic effects'. 

But I’ve noticed one thing. People on FB have issues with everything. They can ignore certain applications. They can ignore a lot, but they keep on complaining.

If anyone wants to use the Instagram application, he/she has the right to use it. 

I don’t really care what Paris Hilton posts anywhere. She’s invariably super-excited on twitter. Mostly people are & that’s beyond me. Anyhow, as long as she doesn’t sing, everything is alright. 

All these three pictures were posted on Twitter. Paris Hilton had lots of fun with her pals at Bondi Beach. That’s a very simple point & we get it. 

She even tweeted: 'Such a fun day! Went to Bondi Beach, went on a speed boat to Manly Beach then just a fun sushi dinner with friends. So tired, Sweet dreams.' 

I hope it’s crystal clear now.

Picnic Pants

An Italian company called Acquacalda has created a pair of denim capri pants that feature a piece of fabric between the thighs. The flap spreads out when you sit cross-legged, so it doubles as a plate. It even has a pocket on the outside of the thigh to hold a drink! 

What an amazing idea! I wonder who’s going to buy it. They don’t look super sexy or anything. One can always be a little careful while eating. And just in case, you can’t help being careless, there’s a solution. You have ‘Pic Nic Pant’ now.

RIP Oksana Makar

Oksana Makar was gang-raped by three guys & then she was dumped in a ditch & set on fire. In order to keep her alive, the medic had to amputate one of her arms and both her feet. However, after two weeks, she died of severe burns & damage to her lungs. 

Her mother made a video clip in which Oksana describes her horrific ordeal. Her mom has been criticized for making the video as the girl was very upset. I’m sure it must have been painful for the girl & the mother but how else people will get to know the story? It’s just too annoying that people never get sick & tired of finding faults. 

Although there was a nationwide protest against this rape case but two of the suspects were released as they have powerful connections. They are sons of sons of former government officials & that makes much above law. 

In fact Women's rights group Femen protest naked outside the state prosecutor's office in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev to demand tough punishment for these three men accused of raping and setting alight Oskana. 

When questioned as to what punishment her attackers should receive after the March 9 attack, the teen replies their testicles should be cut off and fed to dogs. 

Oksana Maker was just 18 year old & she’s dead. While she was alive, 2 of the culprits were released. Fine. There was hue & cry all over Ukraine. Anyhow, the demonstrations led Ukrainian President Yanukovych to order the general prosecutor to oversee the case and on March 13 the two men were re-arrested and all three suspects were charged with attempted murder. I just hope they rot in jail. 

Lately I have read too many cases of rape & acid attacks. Victims either commit suicide or they die in vain. Culprits do not even land in jail, cause most of them are from influential & powerful families. At least in this case, they have been re-arrested & charged with attempted murder. 

Amazing reaction of wolves

This is again a very cute clip. Wolves are just behaving as dogs. Although wolves tend to stay away from humans but this doesn’t mean they don’t have any soft side. This video will prove they are so full of affection. 

This particular person Anita got to know the pack at the Polar Zoo in Salangsdalen, Norway, which is the world’s northernmost zoo. She spent time with them for two years & then she went away for just two months. You could clearly see how they missed her. They jumped all over her and repeatedly licked her face - behaving more like friendly dogs than fierce predators. 

The point is…they are not predators as they have always been painted by humans. In movies such the Grey, they have shown how wolves attack humans without any reason. The fact is…they are scared of humans & they don’t even come near them. They are just dogs & we all know how badly dogs are being judged by closed minds.

Dakota Rose and Venus Palermo are two real-life Barbies. They have become quite a sensation on the net as they resemble dolls. Moreover, these girls tell you how to transform into a doll on Youtube. However, some people are concerned that it could sexualisation of young girls. 

Dakota Rose is known as Kota Koti. What a name! Anyway, she’s popular amongst Asians. This one is pretty but little is known about her. Some websites suggest she is aged between 16 and 18 and from the west coast of America. 

Venus Palermo is the other girl & she’s known online as Venus Angelic. She’s around 15. She has also gained popularity for resembling a living doll. She has posted 78 videos on her official Youtube page. 

Kota Koti and Venus Angelic have got FB pages also & they have too many fans. 

It’s quite a weird kind of trend but the fact is people love watching them. This entire concept of living doll giving beauty tutorials is well liked. I believe people like to watch young girls. 

I always thought ‘you look like a doll’ was a huge compliment till I saw these clips on beauty tutorials. Why do people want to deceive themselves? It’s quite a fake look. I’m amazed that lots of young people want to look like dolls. 

As early as 2010 it was reported that an increasing amount of Japanese women were aspiring to look like dolls, embracing femininity and obliterating sexuality altogether. Moreover, a recent poll in Taiwan of 13,000 students revealed nearly half started surfing the internet before the age of seven, and some start as young as three. 

So this is how things stand. You have to have a lot of time to waste on so much make up & look something like a plastic doll. 

I still like Barbie dolls but even when I was a kid, I never wanted to look something like Barbie doll or any other doll for that matter. This idea never entered my head & I don’t think it can ever cross my brain for obvious reason :P However, it’s good that women may learn a bit about make-up of unique nature. 

Some women still look more like dolls without applying so much make-up. But this Dakota Rose is indeed very pretty. And those who want to look like dolls can learn tricks on Youtube now, thanks to these young girls!

That was indeed a dumb question. Mostly women are seen in bikini or stark naked on the beach. I haven’t seen pardah clad ladies roaming on the beach. 

Since every model gives some beauty tip. Here’s one by Irina: “You just have to be yourself to flirt and be beautiful and sexy. You don’t need to have long legs and big lips and beautiful hair and makeup. Just be a normal person.” 

I know it’s a bit of repetition but anyone who missed this tip ought to know it’s far more important to be just a normal person.

Nude photo hacker pleads guilty

Christopher Chaney is the nude photo hacker & he pleads guilty to hacking accounts of 50 celebrities. He hacked e-mail accounts of film stars Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera, etc. 

How can any one of us forget those days? :P Almost every day some nude photo of star used to go viral. He gave sexting a new meaning last year. I remember how people bothered us bloggers for reporting about those nude photos. Actually Christopher Chaney is the man who is responsible for the mess up. He forwarded the nude images he found after hacking the accounts to gossip websites, which posted them. 

I can’t believe he’s just 35 year old. I look so much younger than him. We expected some young guy but here is a man who looks even older than his age. And what nasty habits he has. He was arrested in October 2011 after an 11-month investigation named “Operation Hackerazzi” by the FBI. He could face up to 60 years in prison. I hope he never comes out of jail. 

All those who are into sexting, please be careful. Christopher Chaney might be caught, but there are many psychos out there.

Appalling statistics

 

I just read this on Daily Mail & this is horrifying:

“More than 8,500 acid attacks, forced marriages and other forms of violence against women were reported in Pakistan in 2011, according to The Aurat Foundation, a women's rights organization. The Pakistani government introduced new laws last year criminalizing acid attacks and stating that convicted attacks would serve at least 14 years in jail.”

I’m sure the number is even higher than this. And we must bear in mind that it’s not number, it’s real life that has been destroyed.

As I have said a zillion times on our blog that law is one thing & justice quite another. The situation in my country is such that I can’t even say introducing new & better laws is a good thing, cause there is no such thing as implementation. A better law is useless which is never implemented. Culprits get away every time. This has been our history. 

Mostly husbands are the ones who throw acid on their wives. I think it’s the most intimate relationship & it saddening that one partner abuses it to this extent. I think ‘saddening’ is not even the right word. It’s much beyond that. You’re supposed to look up to your husband as he’s the one who going to protect you. But sadly it’s not so in innumerable cases. Every time I think about Adam & Eve & it seems to me as if the very concept & meaning of companionship & love have been erased from this planet. Marriage is such a sacred relationship & it’s abused every day. I don’t understand why do people get married when they don’t know how to respect their spouse, to begin with.
