This interview has been a lot better. And I like the pic in which Eva is winking playfully. It’s really cool. They should have made it the cover. It's very chic!
But I’m amazed to know that she feels like ‘the ugly duckling’ in Hollywood. I just can’t believe such a pretty woman could say this but we all know that everyone is not like Samantha Brick & Sarah Barge. Btw, 2 or 3 days ago, Samantha Brick said that some people are too ugly looking for TV. All I can say is that: look who’s saying? Genuinely good-looking people like Eva Green, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Pfeiffer, Cameron Diaz, etc aren’t ever seen making crappy statements. Yeah we do have senseless females like Megan Fox but even she tries to change her statement after making a mistake.
Anyway Eva Green does have insecurities which she invariably mentions in every interview.
“It's not all about physique and how beautiful you look. In this business actors who have Botox or surgery make you very aware of age. It's awful. In Los Angeles, I feel like the ugly duckling, like I'm from Venus or something.”
I still think she’s very stunning as compared to all those who have gone under the knife. What I like about her is that she doesn’t like to go on a diet as it depresses her. Once she was asked to lose weight for a movie but she felt miserable having just soup for every meal.
“I started drinking soups and then I was like, I can't do it, I can't go on a diet. It's hell, it makes you very depressed - food is so important to me. I couldn't go on.”
So this was quite an interesting interview.
Eva Green will next be seen in the Tim Burton film Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer in which she's playing a wicked sorceress.
After reading these interviews, I have a feeling that Eva Green is the kind of person who doesn’t say nice things about herself. Actually we live in a world where people never get tired of praising themselves or they are surrounded by sycophants who just go on falsely praising them but here is a woman who just tells us that she doesn’t feel all that perfect & that she has faults. Now I have to give her points for that.
