Women Are Ready To Sacrifice Everything For Sexy Bodies

Getting slim and sexy remains one of the top priorities of women in most parts of the world. How much effort do they put in to get those well desired bodies is not very clear. But what is obvious is the fact the most girls and women are not satisfied with their looks and bodies.

According to a British survey of undergraduate university women some interesting findings were made. The survey was conducted by the Succeed Foundation. It revealed that these girls have major eating disorders and 1/3rd are willing to trade of year of their lives to get an ideal body. Although 78% of the women were normal weight but 79% said that they wanted to lose weight. 93% of the girls had negative thoughts about their bodies in the past week. Some of them don't even have sex because they are not happy with their bodies.

This is not the first time such news has been highlighted. Another small study was conducted on 320 women between the age of 18-25 and that too shed light on similar stuff. Women are willing to sacrifice on real things to get an ideal body. In this study, 13% women said they would give $8000 a year to get a perfect body. 8% of women were ready to give up a promotion at work, 6% were ready to give up their college degree and 9% would happily give up the time with loved ones for a sexy body.

Indeed, these studies are done on a very small sample but the way women have expressed their feelings is important. It is clear that there is no satisfaction about how they look and how their bodies appear. Most women are not happy with their bodies. They are not leading very normal lives because they cannot accept the way they look.

Surprisingly, the social dilemma lies in the fact that these women are willing to give up on important things just to get thin. They were serious about giving up salaries, promotions, degrees and even spending valuable time with their friends, partners and families. This is not a good sign. Definitely not a healthy sign in itself.

Agreed that if you look good, you are bound to feel good naturally. But it seems that women have taken it to their heart and mind this thing about not being satisfied with their bodies. It also seems like a social dilemma, a matter of low self esteem and more like peer pressure phenomenon too. They must understand and study that being healthy and fit is important and mental peace is what should be really discovered rather than physically slim bodies.
