'No One Killed Jessica' all set to break New Year jinx

There haven't been too many years when a major film has released on the first Friday of a year. Considered to be a jinx (as evidenced in countless flops over the years gone by), the first Friday is usually dominated by small time releases with no star power whatsoever. However 2011 promises to be different with 'No One Killed Jessica' being the first major film of the new decade.

This film has seen a positive vibe building around itself over the last few weeks of its promotion. There are as many as four unknown films that are zero star cast affairs which would release alongside 'No One Killed Jessica'. They are 'Ashoka The Hero', 'Impatient Vivek', 'Vikalp' and 'Yeh Faasley'.

'Ashoka The Hero' is an animation film and in the times when the biggest of animation films with the best of promotion have gone totally unnoticed at the box office, this one stands no chance. 'Impatient Vivek' has a strange title for itself and though it stars Sayali Bhagat and has seen some scale of promotion for itself, it would be surprising if the film finds an all-India release for itself.

'Vikalp' has Deepal Shaw as the central protagonist and the title by itself doesn't entice audience much. Meanwhile 'Yeh Faasley' boasts of names like Anupam Kher, Seema Biswas and Pawan Malhotra but zero promotion means that it would go totally unnoticed.
