Laura Goodger’s weight problem has been aggravated due to cyber-bullying

This is not the first time Laura Goodger is talking about her weight problem.

The reality TV star said recently in an interview: “I hate the way I look.”

She added: “I've tried boot camp, had a personal trainer and a nutritionist. But I just start eating again. I have a problem.”

She’s upset most of the time about her weight & she really wants to reduce it but ever since her break up with her boyfriend, she has been eating like anything. What’s saddening is that people neither spare her in real life nor do they leave her in peace on twitter. Actually it’s not just her love of food that forces her to eat like a pig. It’s this constant abuse on twitter that causes her to eat even more.

“There are some really unkind bullies out there. They don’t even know me. Who do they think they are? They call me a beached whale and a fat c***. They also call me Miss Piggy.”

This is indeed a serious problem & I think Laura needs to see a shrink. I myself have been a victim of cyber-bully. It’s been 7 years now & I can ignore it as it has been so long. Every now & then my accounts get hacked &innumerable fake profiles have been created to make me feel bad. I still get tweets of weird nature. Actually it’s the deep-rooted insecurities of bullies that force them to say nasty & mean things to others. I have been bullied on twitter, Facebook, & Orkut quite religiously in these 7 years. The rule to deal with them is simple: Just don’t let that crap cross your brain cells. And I’m telling you, it works. It has worked for me. My sister says that we have been rigorously trained & that has made us much more stronger individuals. You always gain something out of a bad happening. It’s just that people don’t realize it & they just keep on complaining about bad events & tragedies.

I agree that cyber-bullying or bullying of any other kind has a negative impact on the victim. More importantly, the victim can commit suicide, cause sometimes it’s very difficult to take such things when you are down & out. Although twitter is a great site but just about anyone can tweet you & that can be a problem for someone like Laura Goodger who is upset. I believe when you can say, ‘it’s all on me,’ you can surely work it out.

I believe a person has the will to do what he/she wants to do. Fixing the blame on bullies will not help anyone. We need to ignore certain things & certain people in life. Now we can’t say virtual life has nothing to do with real life. It has, cause it has become a reality. We cannot live without going on the net. This is also a choice. When we make this kind of choice, then we should learn to ignore shitty stuff as well.

Laura Goodger also has the option of deleting her twitter account. Allowing bullies to rule over your life is not right. I’d rather like to waste my time on someone who is important to me than on a coward who is actually non-existent. His/her words only become alive when we allow them. We have that choice.
