Happy Birthday Papa! :D

Almost 20 years have passed without him, but I still vividly remember his grin. It was naughty & genuine.

Wherever he is right now, I’m sure he’s having a ball of a time out there. I wish I had been as fearless as him. He was perhaps the most impressive human being I’ve ever known & I don’t think I will meet another one like him.

He was a man of principles. He didn’t have any problem filing a suit against the government when he knew it was wrong. It took him eight long years, but he won the case finally in the Supreme Court. I’m really proud to be his daughter. But his job was very dangerous & I was so young I didn’t realize it then. In his last days, he was in the intelligence department. He used to get all sorts of threats. It’s strange you’re working for the government & yet you were receiving threats from the biggies that make those smelly governments. They all suck big time! I couldn’t have taken so much pressure even for a day. He was one hell of a courageous man. That’s why I wish I had been as fearless as him.

I used to bother Ammi & Papa a lot when I was a kid. I also find it very funny that I used to tell them about my crushes on the actors (Nadeem, Dharmendra & Roger Moore), & I wasn’t even barely 4 at that time. However, Papa got me their post cards.

One of the best things about my life has been my parents. I have lost one & so I hope my mom has a long life. I could have said anything to Papa & the same thing goes for my mom. But as much as I hate to admit I have been a very rude kid on a couple of occasions. I guess when you love someone & you know they also care about you, you can’t help being blunt with them at times.
