Witchcraft has been a growing threat to children in Britain as many have been abused & murdered owing to this belief in witchcraft.
Scotland Yard has so far investigated 83 ritualistic or faith-based child abuse cases in the past 10 years & according to the, it is still “under-reported, hidden crime.”
Kristy Bamu was only 15 year old but he was tortured for three days by none other than his sister Magalie, 29 & her partner Eric Bikubi. Now they are both facing life sentences. Police found knives, sticks, metal bars and a hammer and chisel in squalid east London flat where Kristy died on Christmas Day 2010. Kristy was being accused by the two of taking part in kindoki - or African voodoo. They believed he had cast spells on another child & so they thought it was right to punish him. He had 130 injuries on his body. In fact he “begged to die” as he was in too much pain after being repeatedly attacked with knives, sticks, metal bars, hammer & chisel. His last words were ‘I just want to die now’ before slipping underneath the water.
This issue was first highlighted in 2000 when Victoria ClimbiĆ© was being branded a witch & later on killed. A year later the torso of a Nigerian boy, named Adam by police, was found in the Thames after he was ritually sacrificed. Most probably he was killed by someone who had a terminal illness & he believed his murder would save him. In 2005, three people were convicted of beating, cutting and rubbing chilli peppers in the eyes of an eight-year-old Angolan girl to ‘beat the devil out of her’.
This is indeed a serious problem but this is not how one wards off evil in any way. They seem to be living in dark ages. Extremists are the ones responsible for these killings.
This boy Kristy had come to London along with his two brothers & two sisters & they were staying with their sister & boyfriend for Christmas but then Bikubi accused them all of bringing kindoki into his home.
“Kindoki is a look at witchcraft and witchcraft based traditions from the perspective of an experienced practitioner of African sorcery methods. The kindoki was intended to help in the development of the society, while witchcraft aims at its destruction. Due to the confusion introduced between the concepts of kindoki and witchcraft, most of African languages have two terms for witchcraft one is totally negative and alludes to evil-craft while the other is ambivalent and alludes in reality to the African lore and power.”
Well…whatever…this is quite fucked up. You have to have a lot of faith to fight this kind of evil. But still I don’t think any religion will allow killing of those who are casting spells on others. There are verses that could fight with such evil forces. But as I see it all these people are misguided.
One of the victims, Kelly Bamu, said: “They started talking about kindoki, witchcraft and this and that. It was as if they were obsessed by witchcraft.” They even asked them all to jump out of the window to check out if they could fly. If kindoki is supposed to help, then why did this crazy couple think it was some form of witchcraft? This clearly indicates that Eric Bikubi & Magalie Bamu themselves are totally mad. They did not know the difference & they were obsessed…so much so that they have no problem in torturing a person to this extent. And shame on Magalie for abusing her own brother! People are so sick in the head. You can’t even trust your own siblings. Maybe they needed to sacrifice someone & they started off with this crap, to begin with.
