Sheeshe kay gharon mein dekho tou pathar dilwale baste hain

It’s a fabulous song. In fact, this is the kind of song that says the truth in a very simple yet painful manner. Kishore Kumar has sung it beautifully. Both Kamal Haasan & Reena Roy have given amazing expressions. Many a times, it seems Kamal Hassan will just cry.

Those who have experienced it will know it better than others, cause some are not at all capable of understanding a thing. You write a book for them, but they won’t get it. They remain at one place for thousands of years…Making one mistake after another & blaming the other person for getting hurt.

Anyway, R.D. Burman won his first Filmfare Best Music Director Award for Sanam Teri Kasam.

I believe some will find it too dramatic & some will say that this kind of stuff doesn’t happen anymore. The fact is…feelings still exist & people still get hurt. And there are just too many insensitive people out there who just like to play with feelings of others. And the funniest thing is they even get offended when you tell them the truth. However in this song at least Reena Roy seems to care about the guy. In real life, things are very different. No one gives a damn. If you make the mistake of expressing yourself, people get offended.

Sheeshe ke gharon mein dekho tou pathar dilwale baste hain
Jo pyaar ko khel samajhate hain aur tor ke dil ko hanste hain

Many a times, rich people complain that people are only after their name, money, & power. But those who make the mistake of taking them just as humans pay the price. And you know making fun is perhaps the easiest thing. Rich people always have servants/sycophants to do their dirty work.

Kabhi jaan pay khel ke bhi jag mein kasamon nibhayaa jaata tha
Jab vaade bhulane se pehle khud ko hi bulayaa jaata tha
Ab kasamein kitni jhuthi hain aur vaade kitane sastay hain

It must have happened ages ago. Sincerity & loyalty are very rare things. Liars are chosen over sincere people.

Perhaps these two lines sum up everything. It’s almost impossible to know the value of love in this age. Those who worship money, fakeness & all the materialistic shitty stuff can only do business.

Aji pyaar sauda dilo ka hai jo yeh vyopari kya jaane
Ye pyaar to apani pooja hai daulat ke pujari kya jaane

And I think those who complain about meeting women/men who are just interested in their money, I guess they too have been interested just in sex or something. Maybe they didn’t click, & bitchy men & women know when & how to ditch them at the right time. This is just an opinion. I really don’t know.

I was just a kid when I liked this song. I actually have no idea what exactly clicked me at that time but I’m amazed that I liked very sad songs when I was young.
