Michelle Williams gives a glimpse of her racy side in GQ magazine

Michelle Williams is the woman who played the character of Marilyn Monroe in the movie My Week with Marilyn. And this Sunday she won the Golden Globe Award for the Best Actress. My Week with Marilyn is based on two books by Colin Clark & it depicts the making of the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl. Basically in this one week, Marilyn is being escorted around Britain by Clark while her husband Arthur Miller has been away.

Actually this has been Marilyn Monroe inspired shoot for GQ magazine. Michelle Williams has tried her best to portray something like Marilyn but I think it’s kind of impossible to imitate the sexiest goddess I suppose & I really do not know if this so-called sexy photo spread with GQ magazine is sure to turn some heads. Wearing a platinum blonde wig and lashings of red-lipstick wouldn’t make anyone Marilyn Monroe.

Michelle William very rightly said:

“I wouldn’t say that that would be one of my first qualities as a human being—being sexy. And I think because my character on Dawson’s Creek was sexy…sexualized…sexual…I saw all the negative attention and connotations that can come along with that. And that those things can keep people from seeing you clearly.”

Not at all ma’am! We can see things pretty clearly. I just want to say one thing about this ‘sexy, sexualized, sexual’ part– I have been ill for the past 3 days & I’m about to faint right now. The standard of people has surely gone down. I’m sorry to say but I don’t see Michelle Williams sexy from any angle whatsoever & those who do, maybe they don’t have any taste. Moreover negative attention and connotations (if there had been any) ought to be taken as a compliment from those who don’t know what is sexy.

Playing the character doesn’t mean you become that particular person. I haven’t seen the movie & I’m sure Michelle Williams as an actor must have given it her best shot, but this entire comparison is laughable. Why do we keep on comparing people all the time? We just had one Marilyn & she’s dead, & we don’t want stupid people to besmear her sexy image. Anyone who portrays her is just an actor & that’s it.
