It’s saddening to know that a 16 year old model Gabrielle Joseph committed suicide after a boy canceled their cinema date. She killed herself under the train just after 75 minutes. People who knew her called her bubbly, outgoing & happy-go-lucky by nature, but she must have been too upset. Who would want a train to run over herself?
Before she committed suicide in April, she left a message for her friends on Facebook. Her friends said she was extremely upset.
She wanted to become a top fashion model & she wrote on her own modeling website: 'In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.'
And what an irony that she was found dead on a railway track after a boy cancelled a date. It’s really sad how people end their lives. Although she left a message for her friends but I don’t think it helped in any way, cause she’s dead.
Talking on FB is one thing but sharing your problem in the real sense is quite a different thing. I believe it’s not just teenagers who face this problem. People of all age group have this problem. They talk but they don’t really speak out what’s bothering them. Talking might solve the problem. You may feel better once you let someone you trust know what’s killing you.
Someone didn’t want to turn up on a date was not such a big reason. But I’m sure something else too must have bothered her that she ended up taking her life. Just because someone is seen happy doesn’t mean he/she is actually happy. Everyone doesn’t want to portray himself/herself as an emotional wreck.
Gabrielle’s mother said: ‘She was the most beautiful girl in the world, both inside and out. Nothing will take away the pain and devastation this has brought to us as a family. We wouldn’t want anyone to go through this.’
It’s a tragedy when young people commit suicide & no one prevents them from carrying out this action.
I’m sure she could have made it to the top. She was really stunning. May she rest in peace!
