Alright. I can’t help sharing this story. I actually don’t get fascinated by love stories as such & more than that, I find it extremely irritating when I meet some females who just go on talking about love. However, to be honest, when I started reading this piece, I had only 3 things in my mind – this couple met just for 10 minutes in their childhood; then they met again online (Too filmy & what a coincidence!) and share their 1st kiss after 3 months (which is one hell of a long time to hold back a kiss). The title was of course kind of powerful & it makes one think :P Here it goes: Couple who met for just 10 minutes when they were children marry online (& finally share their 1st ever kiss three months after the big day.
Syed Islam and Monira Chowdhury are both 28. The guy certainly doesn’t look that young. Anyway, they met again on the net after many years. During a series of internet video Skype sessions, they fell in love. They even had internet wedding. And after 100 days, the couple finally met when Monica moved to England. They will have a wedding party next year in Bangladesh so that they can celebrate the wedding with relatives. Actually the reason why I’m sharing this story on the blog is that I really liked what Syed Islam said:
'There are three things that are very important - trust, honesty and faith and we have all these three things, so we will definitely be a very happy couple.'
No wonder they are together & we wish them all the best. You know their story kind of reminded me of the love we saw in Indian movies. It was so pure & beautiful. And it was a big time disappointment to know that it doesn’t exist in real life. Now people just weigh & only settle for commitment when it benefits them. Or it’s just pleasure of the flesh that’s important. It’s nice to know that some people still believe in love.
While I was going through this article, it reminded me of this girl who bothered a guy to marry her (who was supposed to be in love with her while she was going out with another rich guy for 3, 4 years & he wasn’t that good an option) on Skype so much that he stopped talking to her & that was of course the joke of the year. Anyhow, she’s married to another guy now who is filthy rich. Money is so important that people never bother to look at the face. Seriously I often wonder how do women manage to kiss & sleep with such men. Maybe the materialistic approach helps :P See either it’s mental compatibility or lots of dough – there can’t be any other reason I guess. Or maybe they settle down with such things as they don’t want to grow old all by themselves. Give yourself points, if you are still single. It means you’re brave.
We rarely come across couples like Syed & Monica. A cursory look at any pic will tell you they are genuinely in love.
