We all know how the modeling industry is obsessed with young girls of 14-15. Anyhow, supermodel Agyness Deyn has revealed recently that she’s a full six years older than what she claimed when she started her career as a model. Which means she’s actually 29.
Agyness not just lied about her real age but she also changed her name, which is Laura Hollins in reality, so that she can get better jobs & she did. She told the Guardian:
“No, when I decided I would really do modeling I was like 18, and I think at the time that was quite old for a new face, so we knocked off a few years.”
I don’t know what she did was right or wrong. She wanted work & maybe she didn't have any other option. Since she was being questioned on a number of occasions about her real age, so she has come out open about it. They even created a group or a page called Agyness Deyn you are not 18.
People pretend to be much younger & they also lie about their real age & the most annoying creatures are those who act as little kids. Why pick on one person? Over here, those of us who have been honest about our age, people very conveniently add 4 or 5 years to it, cause they believe everyone is lying.
It’s kind of unfair that some models like Kristen McMenamy (47), Kate Moss (38) and Naomi Campbell (41) still get work & let’s be honest, they don’t look that young no matter how they are being praised for every god-damn cover. I think Agyness Deyn has been a cool model. I find her better than Karlie Kloss and Hailey Clauson who are much, much younger.
