Dear Cupid: Be nice!
I think it’s asking too much. Anyway, I find the message really cute. But now I’m thinking of actually filing a suit against Cupid just for the heck of it :P I guess there would be some thrill in it, after all.
Anyhow, every time Cupid hits just one person & every time it’s the same bizarre story. You’re interested in a person & you take everything seriously including stupid hints, cause you want to give meaning to every little absurdity. And then it struck you as bad as lightening & you wake up realizing it was all misunderstanding on your part & all along you were taken for granted. The object of your desire never even regarded you as a pathetic option. I know it’s bad but it happens to the best of us.
Most of us have experience something of the sort:
“I know nothing more shattering than to love with all your heart, than not to be able however hard you try to break yourself of it, someone who you know is worthless.”
Somerset
But do not pity yourself. You can’t fight with your destiny. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe God wants us to suffer for a reason. However, I wouldn’t like to use the word ‘worthless.’ Genuine likeness or love means you accept the person with his/her faults & he can’t be worthless just because he’s not interested in you. It’s natural & you can’t force people to fall for you & respect your feelings. But come to think of it, had Cupid hit both the parties in many cases, there would have been unnatural disasters. You know what I mean. It takes years but we get to know eventually why thank God we didn’t click :P Running after certain creature is injurious to health. Now I know why they say good hunters don’t chase, they wait.
Still it would be so much fun to drag Cupid in courtroom.
