Finally a book has been written on Meredith

Meredith’s father has written a book about the murder of his daughter, which will be published on 16th April. It’s good that he has scribbled about his daughter’s case. All along Amanda Knox is the person who has been in limelight. It’s terrible that the culprits are people who are more talked about than the victim. Anyway, the book Meredith: Our Daughter’s Murder And The Heartbreaking Quest For The Truth, by John Kercher, is for £16.99.

This has been a truly tragic case & it questions the very concept of justice in this society where evidence is so easily removed when culprits happen to be rich kids & you know from which country.

“There was also the presentation of evidence that Knox’s bloodied footprints had been found in the cottage’s hallway and bathroom; that her DNA had been found in blood mixed with Meredith’s in the bathroom; and that her DNA had been shown to be on a knife handle, with Meredith’s on the blade – a knife that police had found at Sollecito’s apartment and which, the prosecution claimed, had been removed from the scene of the crime.

Judge Micheli also heard Knox’s and Sollecito’s defence teams attempting to refute much of the evidence, specifically the DNA evidence, which they blamed on contamination and poor forensics procedures.

This was to be a major contention in this pre-trial, the main trial and, later, the first appeal.”

An innocent young woman was brutally murdered but we read lame theories that people were jealous of Amanda’s beauty & they didn’t want to sympathize with her. Amanda Knox is the person who is also writing a book, which I’m sure is solely based on lies. In fact it was reported that she maintained notes while she was in prison.

What I find even more strange is that rape victims such as Anne-Marie Ellement hang themselves after being bullied as no one believes their story & call them liars, but culprits such as Amanda Knox, & Raffaele Sollecito walk out victorious. So what if Rudy Guede is still in prison? Two culprits are breathing in fresh air & one is writing a tale & everyone is interested in that book & her so-called beauty, because she happens to be an American.

No one even bothered to know as to how the family of Meredith felt or went through. The media wanted us to sympathize with the culprits. It’s heart wrenching how John Kercher kept on calling Meredith & received no reply. Eventually he called up a national newspaper to gather info as it was the only logical thing to do. He was told that a British girl’s mobile phone was found & they were in touch with people. However, nothing was confirmed. They didn’t have the name.

“For the next 30 minutes I sit by the phone, trying not to feel so apprehensive. Then the phone rings.

The call is from a young woman on the newspaper’s foreign desk. Hesitantly, she tells me they have a name for the victim. Though I ask for it, she is reluctant to tell me. She seems nervous herself and I have to persuade her to release the name. I shall never forget her words.

‘The name going round Italy,’ she says, ‘is Meredith.’

I drop the phone. I do not believe it. There has to be a mistake. I refuse to let the facts sink in.

I repeat it over and over to myself: ‘Not beautiful Meredith . . . Not beautiful Meredith . . .’

Numb with shock, I cannot even cry.”

Personally we do not know Meredith or Amanda Knox or Raffaele Sollecito, and Rudy Guede. We have read this horrible story in the newspapers & we have seen how an American girl gets away with murder. The very concept of justice has been insulted. Evidence was removed. Various kinds of theories were presented just to tell us that Amanda Knox has been the one who was wronged. Of course many of us refused to believe the crap that media wanted us to believe but so what! The ones who are guilty are free & that speaks highly about the corrupt system.

Americans can commit murders just about anywhere & they can get away with it as well. I am really not in the mood to narrate the entire story of Raymand Davis who killed two Pakistanis & then judges acquit him on all charges. And the reason was again very simple: he too was an American. However, that speaks highly about the kind of world we live in where some people keep on talking about democracy & yet they help murderers, if they happen to be from their country.

When someone commits a crime of any nature & anywhere in the world, his nationality shouldn't come in the process of justice. It's not that we are jealous of America & Americans, but no one ought to be above law. But this case & many more instances clearly prove otherwise.
